Tucson Electric Power is proposing a new utility-owned residential solar program in the form of a 10-year, fixed-rate community solar contract.  The contract would be similar to TEP's rooftop solar program approved in 2014, except it would be attached to a much larger solar project.  Last year's program limited TEP to 600 customers and 3.5 megawatts with a $10 million spending cap.

SunEdison recently revealed its plans for California, one of the world's biggest opportunities for energy storage, via a partnership with behind-the-meter battery startup Green Charge Networks.  The two companies will jointly market and develop solar-storage projects, each providing its own low- or no-cost financing, to capture the lucrative energy-plus-demand charge opportunities in California's commercial and municipal sectors.
